20 Great Accommodations for ADHD Students

You know your child best, so come to the IEP or 504 meeting armed with ideas for accommodations that can help her shine at school. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

Problems Completing Seatwork

11. Have your child complete seatwork in the resource room or library

12. Have uncompleted seatwork sent home to be completed, with a note to the parent to let her know about the extra work. Grades should not be lowered for seatwork handed in the next day

13. Allow the student to work with a classroom buddy at times

14. Permit the student to play with small items, providing an outlet for fidgeting
