New study indicates a difference in language comprehension speed--but not accuracy--in ADHD children.
Researchers have found that children with ADHD perform significantly slower on language comprehension tasks than their peers without ADHD. However, there were only minor differences in accuracy in the two groups.
The study confirms that children with ADHD would benefit from additional time to complete reading and language assignments, but they should be able to perform as well as non-ADHD students.
