Treating ADHD with Behavioral Therapy

Good parenting skills are key to helping children with attention deficit disorder (ADHD) succeed in adulthood and is a proven alternative treatment to medication, say a wide range of experts in the field of ADHD. Behavioral therapy has proven so effective that mandated parent training has become the first choice for treatment of ADHD in Great Brittan.

Children with ADHD often struggle with social skills that can be improved with the proper guidance. Studies show the importance of setting clear limits, consistently enforcing those limits, and rewarding positive behavior.
