Guide to Choosing a Summer Camp for ADHD Children ADDitude Magazine

Do you want to send your ADHD child to summer camp, but can’t afford the costs?

Thanks to support from generous donors, CHADD, a non-profit organization that helps children and adults with attention deficit disorder (ADHD), is offering awards of up to $8,000 to help offset the costs of sending ADHD children to summer camp. The program is open to children between the ages of 6 and 21 who have been diagnosed with ADHD. The parent or guardian applying must be a current member of CHADD.

The Award Program covers camp tuition, registration, and medication program fees, travel to and from camp, and any required clothing and supplies for all of the program’s eligible camps. Applications can be downloaded at the CHADD website and are due no later than March 4, 2009.

Join CHADD now or renew your membership to apply for a Summer Camp Award.
