Vyvanse Approved for Adult Use

Shire Pharmaceuticals began selling Vyvanse as a treatment for adult ADHD on July 22.

Wednesday July 23rd - 11:23am

After receiving initial FDA approval in April for the use of Vyvanse as a treatment for adults with ADHD between the ages of 18 and 55, Shire Pharmaceuticals began marketing the drug as such on Tuesday July 22.

The drug was introduced and originally approved for the treatment of children in July 2007.

Celebrity and ADHD sufferer Ty Pennington will be working with the company on a campaign to promote both the drug and ADHD awareness.
