Myths About ADHD
Houston resident Michael Mahlstedt will compete in an Ironman competition in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on June 23 in honor of close family friend Ellen Kingsley. Kingsley, the talented and caring founder of ADDitude, passed away on March 8 after a 20 year fight against cancer. Under the sponsorship of his employers, John Daugherty Realtors, Mahlstedt hopes to raise $10,000 in Kingsley's memory, benefiting the Nancy Owens Memorial Foundation. This will be Mahlstedt's second Ironman competition. The grueling triathlon includes a 2.4-mile swim followed by a 112-mile bike ride, rounded off with a full 26.2-mile marathon. To learn more about the foundation and the Ironman competition, or to make a secure donation to help sponsor this event, go to nancyowens.org.
