Scientists observing children find no link between television viewing and attention problems.
Scientists at Texas Tech University took a closer look at the data pointing to watching TV as a cause of AD/HD - and found no link.
Tara Stevens, Ed.D., and Miriam Mulsow, Ph.D., charted how much time a group of pre-school children watched TV and monitored the emergence of attention problems in kindergarten. No relationship was found between the two. The scientists pointed out that the study results do not mean they advocate TV for kids.
The study was published in the March 2006 issue of Pediatrics.
