Researchers at the University of Miami School of Medicine's Touch Research Institutes have found a soothing way to help students with AD/HD-massage. Comparing a group of students, ages seven to 18, who received 20 minutes of massage twice a week with a group of students who received no massages, the researchers showed that massage could improve mood and long-term behavior in the classroom. The researchers did not test students without AD/HD. Now, if HMOs will only pay for weekly massage treatment.
